My Childhood Memories
Growing up, I was immersed in a world where health and wellness were more than just trends—they were a way of life. Juicing, vegetarianism, and acupuncture were not only embraced but practiced daily in my household. These early experiences shaped my understanding of natural healing and the power of holistic care.
One of my most cherished memories is visiting my grandmother’s farmhouse, where the air was always filled with the rich, earthy scents of her carefully crafted herbal blends. People from near and far would come to her, seeking her wisdom and traditional remedies for various ailments. Her knowledge and dedication to natural healing left a profound impact on me.
At 16, I struggled with acne, and every product I tried only made my sensitive skin worse. Frustrated and determined to find a better way, I turned back to the natural, gentle principles I grew up with. This journey led me to discover the healing power of aromatherapy, herbs, and natural ingredients.
A Journey of Passion and Purpose
Growing more determined to find a solution, I delved deeper into the traditional healing practices of my upbringing, becoming increasingly passionate as I immersed myself in the field. I began crafting various facial treatments using my newfound knowledge, and as my skin responded positively, so did my confidence. I realized that the key to effective skincare lay in harnessing the power of nature.
When I turned eighteen, my mission was clear. I became a licensed esthetician and shortly after, a certified aromatherapist. I realized that incorporating different traditional modalities such as Ayurveda, Aromatherapy, and Herbology gave me the tools to create more potent and effective products. These ancient practices provided a deep well of wisdom, enabling me to blend time-honored techniques with modern skincare needs.
After meticulously studying the ingredients in top skincare brands, I was convinced that I could craft all-natural products that would not only match but surpass their effectiveness. This realization fueled my determination to create a skincare line that would honor the principles of purity, efficacy, and holistic wellness.
With handwritten labels, my skincare formulations came to life. I named the brand "Enessa," a name that loosely translates to "miracle of the essence" reflecting the brand's dedication to the purity and power of natural ingredients.
Enessa Wellness Spa
In 1997, my vision came to life with the creation of Enessa Wellness Spa, a place where I could integrate the Enessa skincare line into a variety of holistic services. Nestled on the iconic Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles, the spa quickly became a sanctuary for those seeking rejuvenation through our signature facials and all-natural products. Our approach was not just about treating the skin but nurturing the mind and body, offering a holistic experience that resonated deeply with our clients.
The spa’s reputation grew, and soon our products were being recognized beyond our Los Angeles location. Enessa's products were selected for prestigious gift baskets at events such as The Emmys and The Golden Globe, a testament to their quality and appeal. Over the years, they became a staple in the kits of Hollywood makeup artists, used in movies and TV shows to achieve flawless, natural looks. This recognition reinforced my belief in the power of natural ingredients and fueled my drive to share our products with a wider audience.
Enessa Organic Skin Care
As the demand for our product line continued to grow, I made the difficult decision to close the spa in order to fully dedicate myself to my true passion—the development and expansion of Enessa’s product line. It was a pivotal moment, marking the transition from a local spa service to a brand committed to bringing the purity and efficacy of natural skincare to people everywhere.
This shift allowed me to focus on refining our formulations, ensuring that each product lived up to the standards of quality and effectiveness that had become synonymous with the Enessa name. As the demand for our product line grew, I closed the spa to dedicate my entire focus to my passion– the growth of Enessa’s products.
Enessa's product line is a reflection of my journey. It began with solutions for the skin blemishes I faced as a teenager, expanded to include products for babies when I became a mother, and now focuses on age-defying treatments to maintain skin health and address specific concerns.
